Kasey Miklik was born in Hammond, IN in 1979. He is a sculptor and book artistliving in Minneapolis, MN. This spring, he will graduate from the University of Minnesota with a BFA in Art. He also holds a degree in Religious Studies with a minor in English- Creative Writing from Macalester College. Kasey is interested in community art and has participated in the Gender Blur art collective and taught art to youth through an internship with the East Side Arts Council in St. Paul, MN. He has participated in group shows in Minnesota and New York. In 2006, he won the Steven J. Schochet GLBT Studies Award for Excellence in Creativity and Research- Undergraduate Artistic Expression Award. Kasey is currently interning at Minnesota Center for Book Arts.
